Brain Power Smoothie

Most parents find it difficult to squeeze fruits and veggies into their kids’ diet. Whether the issue is whining, pickiness, time, money, or effort, today’s smoothie recipe is an easy way to incorporate variety into your child’s diet.

Having a smoothie in the morning as breakfast, after school, or after a workout can increase:

  • immune system
  • focus
  • concentration
  • memory
  • sleep
  • muscles strength and endurance

It can also decrease:

  • need for ADHD meds
  • need for antibiotics
  • school days missed
  • headaches
  • anxiety
  • abdominal issues
  • constipation
  • fatigue

brain power smoothie

Ingredients:

    • 2 cups full fat milk (or almond milk)
    • 1/2 cup organic greek vanilla yogurt
    • 2tbsp chia seeds
    • 1tbsp flax seeds
    • 2 tbsp hemp hearts
    • 2 squeezes omega3 flax seed oil
    • 2 tbsp honey
    • 2 scoops whey protein powder
    • 20-30 frozen strawberries
    • 1 handful of frozen berries
    • 1 full handful of frozen spinach
    • add other fruits and veggies as you wish

    Instructions:

    1. Place all of your wet ingredients into a blender
    2. Add all solid ingredients
    3. Blend 
    4. Serve and enjoy
