Halloween Party Punch Alternatives

Believe it or not, Halloween is right around the corner. Are you planning a spooky celebration this year? While costumes and creative makeup are a fun part of the celebration, everyone knows that the party drinks and punch are some of the most memorable parts of celebrating. These Halloween Party Punch Alternatives are a great way to avoid the typical sugary punches while still having a fun drink. Enjoy!

1. Halloween Pumpkin Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unflavored yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk of choice
  • 4 dates
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 banana
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 glass jars decorated for Halloween with a dry erase marker

Instructions:

  1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend
  2. Pour into cups (makes 2 servings)

2. Frankenstein and Friends Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup greens (spinach or Swiss chard are nice mild greens)
  • 2 cup water or pure unfiltered raw apple juice
  • 1 sweet apple, peeled
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1 large handful of ice

Instructions:

  1. Decorate glasses with dry erase markers before making the smoothie
  2. Place greens and water in the bowl of your blender
  3. Pulse on high until the greens are well chopped
  4. Add fruit and pulse on high until smooth
  5. If you like an extra thickness, add a handful of ice and pulse on high until the ice has blended to frothy
  6. Fill glasses and enjoy (serves 3 people)
