Our Eczema Rescue Cream: A Clean, Soothing Solution for Irritated Skin

Why Eczema creams, anyway?

When eczema flares, it’s not just the skin that suffers, it’s also the sleep schedules, the daily routines, and the emotional well-being of the entire family. The relentless itching, tears at bedtime, and constant search for relief can leave parents and kids feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

While long-term healing of eczema begins from within (and this is our expertise!), a quality topical eczema treatment is essential for managing discomfort.

Soothing creams can relieve itching, prevent infection, and protect vulnerable skin while deeper root causes are addressed. That’s why having a clean and effective eczema cream on hand is SO needed.

We have compiled a list of our favorite holistic eczema creams that includes many options, our top favorite being our own Serawise Eczema Rescue Cream, which I will be sharing more about below!

Why we custom-formulated our own eczema cream

As shared in my book Ending the Eczema Epidemic, my own journey with eczema started at home:

“When my daughter was 3 years old she had multiple bouts of eczema flares… We spent thousands of dollars on topical creams to keep her eczema at bay. I cannot even remember all the steroid strengths and formulations we tried. I can tell you one thing: it was many!” (Temple & Temple, 2022)

This personal experience, combined with years of clinical practice, shaped our commitment to create an eczema cream that matches our philosophy: support the skin while healing the body from within.

Supporting eczema relief in my medical practice

In my clinical practice, many patients with eczema are searching for quick, topical relief while working on deeper healing strategies like dietary changes and immune support.

“The long-term healing of eczema can be achieved from within by calming a runaway immune system, which can take time. But in the meantime, many patients are looking for relief—and that is where lotions and creams can be of use.” (Temple & Temple, 2022)

Our new eczema treatment formula aligns with holistic care that is free from steroids, synthetic preservatives, and artificial fragrances. It’s our new go-to recommendation for families looking for natural topical eczema support in our practice and inside our Eczema Transformation Program.

One example that’s stayed with me is Tyler, a 6-year-old boy whose eczema flared so severely that his hands cracked and bled. His family had tried dozens of eczema creams, prescriptions, and even bleach baths with minimal relief.

While we focused on healing his gut and calming his immune system to support his eczema healing from the inside out, in those early weeks, his discomfort was intense. Clean, soothing creams like ours became lifelines for him. As we addressed the root causes, Tyler’s skin slowly began to improve but it was that topical support that helped him (and his parents) sleep better and feel some relief during the journey (Temple & Temple, 2022).

While Tyler did not have access to our newly developed Eczema Rescue Cream at the time, his case and many others helped shape the formula. We’ve taken everything we know about what truly works for eczema treatment and poured it into this clean, effective blend.

We can’t wait to hear how your families respond.

A Better, Cleaner Eczema Cream Formula

Our Eczema Rescue Cream is a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer formulated to help soothe, hydrate, and support the skin barrier. It’s safe for all ages, and gentle enough to use on the face or anywhere on the body.

This cream is custom-formulated with cleaner ingredients and more skin-soothing botanicals, all while keeping out the synthetic preservatives and unnecessary fillers that so often irritate sensitive skin.

It contains colloidal oatmeal, known for its calming, anti-inflammatory effects on irritated skin, Vitamin B12 as an anti-inflammatory that helps repair skin (Stucker et al., 2004; Januchowski, 2009) and St. John’s Wort (hypericum perforatum leaf extract) as an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial (Schempp et al., 2003).
