Dr. Ana-Maria Temple, MD, Owner
I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both undergraduate education and medical school - Go Heels!
I completed my residency training at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I obtained additional training from the Institute for Functional Medicine. I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband, 3 children, and loyal dog.

Anne Poutier, Nurse Practitioner
My name is Anne and I'm the nurse practitioner at Integrative Health Carolinas. I've been working with Dr. Temple since 2019! Before working with Dr. Temple, I worked in hematology and oncology, inpatient pediatrics, family practice and weight loss. Before going into medicine, I got my first degree in nutrition. From my education in nutrition and my previous work experiences, my eyes were open to the importance of fueling our bodies with the right nutrition, sleep and daily activity.
I have 3 young kids, ages 6, 4 and 1. I spend most of my time outside of work keeping up with them and I enjoy a long run to keep my mental health on track. I look forward to being a part of your wellness journey!

Dr. Desta Golden, Naturopathic Physician
I’m Dr. Desta Golden, a naturopathic physician and midwife with a Master’s degree in human nutrition. I received my medical degree from National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I love using my expertise in nutrition, botanical medicine, and homeopathy to support moms and grow healthy families from preconception through pregnancy and postpartum and into the early years of motherhood. My pet passion is optimizing infant food introduction and nutrition in the first 1000 days of life.
My husband and I now live in Virginia and are raising a healthy family of our own, with our 3 little kids and flock of backyard chickens. I’m an audiobook addict with a penchant for travel and when I’m not dreaming up our family’s next adventure, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen making vegetables.

Lindsay, Eczema Transformation Program Manager & Certified Health Coach
I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and later went back to culinary school at Johnson & Wales University. My previous jobs involved cooking with an events and catering focus. Then when my older kids were young, I ran a blog focused on nutrition and recipes for families.
My connection to eczema began when my middle son struggled with it as a baby and toddler. I found Dr. Temple, and my son went through the same steps to healing as the members of our course. Our whole family made nutrition and lifestyle changes, and as we witnessed his skin heal, we also became healthier as a whole. When Drs. John and Ana Maria decided to write the Eczema Transformation Program in 2020, they asked me to come on board to help the families in the program with cooking and recipes. I am passionate about helping others achieve better health, and enjoy connecting with the members of the eczema program. I know that the reason my son went through this was so that it would spur me to help others who also struggle with eczema.
My husband and I have 3 sons who are 10, 6, and 2. I enjoy spending time with my boys, being involved at church, learning about health and wellness, working out, hosting friends and family, and creating in the kitchen.

Amanda, Health Coach
As a certified health coach, I specialize in empowering individuals to optimize their health through owning their everyday choices. I believe that with the right nutritional counseling, shifts in mindset, and support, it is possible to develop an entirely new relationship to food and use food and other lifestyle factors as an advantage to health, healing, and happiness. I work collaboratively with Dr. Temple and her team to help you develop and implement diet and lifestyle habits to support your goals in a way that is practical, enjoyable, and sustainable.
I practiced as a lawyer for several years before pivoting to the field of healthcare. Always interested in biology, functional medicine, and nutrition, I decided to follow my passion and use my research and analytical skills to launch into a new field. I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and started my own successful private health coaching practice before joining Dr. Temple's practice.
I have three young children, love to cook and bake what I affectionately dub “upgraded” recipes, enjoy strength training, rock climbing and long walks, and can often be found enjoying time with friends and family. Nothing makes me happier than developing genuine connections with clients and working together to improve quality of life.

Callie, Head of Sales
I began my professional career as a Cosmetologist where I found the most fulfilling part of my job to be listening and talking to people. For over 10 years, I managed my business & worked in sales within the hair industry but nothing meant more to me than building relationships with clients.
When my son was born he was an upset and difficult infant & we would soon learn he suffered from eczema. I became consumed with correlating his symptoms with diet because all my training had taught me that everything is connected. This is what led me to the online Eczema Transformation program with Dr. Temple and it was life changing for my family! The course provided a place of connection with people yet again in my life and I knew it was where I needed to be. It is because of this journey I am here and a passionate advocate for health and wellness! I believe in the power of the body to function at its best when given the proper nutrition, environment and movement. This is a message I want to share with the world around me, especially those suffering from eczema!

Grace, Sales Consultant
I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and have spent my professional career in the fine art world, supporting artists in a variety of capacities.
I am a lifelong eczema sufferer but was not familiar with holistic practices until my son’s case became increasingly severe. Right before the pandemic I chose to stay home with my two boys (now ages 3 and 6), and although I enjoyed the gift of time with them, I started realizing how severe our health issues were. Eczema, allergies, and weight issues were constant and our team of specialists ran out of suggestions. I truly believed he would never get better.
While waiting for him to age into Dupixent, we tried the Eczema Transformation course. Since then we have been able to completely taper him off steroids and my child is now living a full and beautiful life. I never believed we would get to this place, but here we are! My family's health has improved drastically and these changes have led me to become passionate about sharing this information with others.
Everything about this course spoke to me and helped heal each member of my family in some way. I am convinced that this method is the best way to live a healthier and more fulfilling life. My family and I spend our time so differently now, most importantly by focusing on togetherness. We enjoy being outside, traveling, exploring, gardening and (if it’s a rainy day) playing with Legos.
